A few weeks ago I went to the lfs and spotted a fish I had been looking for for a long long time. They had a beautiful pair of gardneri killifish. I have a few quick questions.
1. I've read that killifish are mainly top swimming fish, but these guys are swimming all over the tank, the only time I see them near the top is when the water level is lowered during water changes. Would it be ok to lower the water level full time?
2. In the wild I've read that killifish eat insects that fall onto the surface of the water. At petco they sell wingless fruit flies, would these be ok as a treat once in a while?
3. I have also read that these fish love floating plants, I have tons of java moss, is there any way I can get this to float on the water?
