If you have the option to remove one or two, you could put in 3 juveniles. But you'll end up with a single or a mated pair. 2 or 3 nonmated almost never works, and you'll find discus death slow and distressing.
Unless you can pay the big money and get a mated pair ($100 +probably) get a single and grow him out. I have a single blue who lives in a 20 with some other non discus due to his bad behaviour, and he's a great pet fish. |
