I think it's cool there is such a gadget (EXCEPT the adding chemicals part; as others have stated). Having an instant reading of the parameters (include plant nutrients & then I'm really excited) would be sufficient (if accurate of course) then the fishkeeper could make necessary adjustments. I wouldn't want or need any "beep" or flashing light because I'd be ahead of the those danger levels (as I am now) with water changes.

To be honest I don't like to test my water (I've done so Rarely); I find it difficult to read this shade of yellow, green, or whatever from the next or previous shade of whatever color (I don't believe I'm color blind either, I just think they're just too darn close to each other).
