I've read reports of cherry shrimp devouring BGA. One person was even growing it for his shrimp.

You could always give it a try, but if you decide to medicate if it doesn't work, you will have to remove the shrimp.

Poor circulation in a tank is sometimes blamed for BGA. While it's not necessarily what's causing it in your tank, you might want to look into improving circulation a little bit.
