Default Do cherry shrimp eat cyanobacteria...

blue-green algae? Does anything? I've got a betta tank that's PLAUGED by it...short of ditching everything and starting over, I don't know how to get rid of it. I'm baffled, the betta is the only thing in the tank (aside from decor) he eats ALL the food he is given, and the tank light is only on about 6hrs or so a day...so i don't see it being a 'too much nutirients' thing...I guess maybe it could be bad stuff in the cheapo sand I used as substrate, but its nearly a year old and has been washed numerous times.
