I think there are 3 fishies that eat hair algae: FFF, SAE, amano shrimps. *I can get only the amano shrimps at my LFS and they are not even touching it. *I actually don't know where they are hiding too.  Other than the natural algae eaters, the only way to control algae is water changes and making sure the phosphate it slow with phosguard or phoszorb.  I have an abundance of hair algae too and it's because my tap water contains a lot of phosphates.
