Talk about 2nd chances! I tried to originally win the Zune from JohnChow but Ms.Danielle won it and now she’s giving ME another chance to win it on her blog site! I have a really good feeling this time. But then again, that’s for alot of contests I enter.

Today’s site review is a new site - Darin.cc - that I just found. Also it helps that there’s a chance that I might win a wii and i’m a sucker for contests. I think I might just do site reviews if they offer a contest only. haha. j/k. So let’s get to the site review and what i like and don’t like about Darin.cc.

The focus of the site is Search Engine Marketing which is a very popular topic and you can never get enough information about it. There were a few posts he made that had some information that was useful. One thing that I couldn’t decide if I liked or not too much was while I really liked the layout and simplistic look of the site, I sorta felt for first-time viewers who come to it, they might be a bit turned off by the lack of images or color. But it’s not all about the fancy dancy graphics but content. But it wouldn’t hurt to get some images or color to it. (and did i just use the word “but” 3 times almost in a row? my english teacher would not be proud right now haha).

I wished he would provide more information on his about page so we can get a better idea of who he is. Not that we need alot of information or pictures (cause i don’t have one) but any lil’ tidbit of information would make it a bit more personal so you can relate to it more.

Overall I’ll be joining his RSS feed to keep updated cause the content is good reading.

Today’s site review is a pretty neat site I found while surfing around. It’s called Bento Box Review. I think for me personally it’s quite refreshing to see a site like this. So what is this site about? It’s about everything and well..everything else. Bento Box is a japanese term for a a variety of food items in a box. It suits this site really well.

Blogs like this interest me because A. he uses alot of pictures to go with his writing. B. His writing style is easy to read and flows smoothly. C. this guy has a VIDEO talking about stuff. That is how you stand out among all the billions of blogs out there.

But back to what I meant when I was talking about how it was quite refreshing to see a site like this. Lately alot of sites i’ve been reading are about how to make money online with different variations in between which are very good and informative. But it can be like reading the news after awhile….so it’s nice to see a site that talks about stuff that i find interesting. Plus I am a complete sucker for anything that has the word contest in it. So the wii giveaway contest definitely caught my attention. But really…I think if he keeps it up he’ll do a great job with with blog. I’ll be a daily reader. Best of luck….

I came across this website that I thought would be super-cool to use. I know that we are in the era of emails but regular snail-mail is still important for alot of uses. So Stamps.com is offering personalized stamps where you can upload your own pictures to use. I went through the process and got myself some MFT stamps. haha. See the picture below to see how it’ll look like.

The first thing I thought of was to use my own fish pictures as stamps. How cool would that be? Here are some examples I used…

They even have images ready for you to use (like favorite sports team and etc) so if you don’t have any images you want to use right now, you can still try it out.

As some of you may have noticed, I have a MyBlogLog widget on the right side of the site. Basically it’s for bloggers worldwide as a tool to show who visited your site if they signed up for MyBlogLog. Not only is it great to getting new visitors, it’s always great to find new sites to read as Shane from AskShane.org mentioned here (thanks for the mention also!).

I never thought of using MyBlogLog as a way to find new interesting sites to read but I was already doing that w/o even realizing it. So the past few weeks, I’ve built quite a list of sites to read (thank goodness for RSS!).
